Cerveteri is a city north-west of Rome, in Italy. It is known for its well-preserved necropolis complex, once part of an Etruscan city. The Necropolis of Banditaccia is composed of a series of pre-Roman tombs, some with fragments of wall paintings. Findings such as urns and statues are exhibited at the Museo di Cerveteri, inside the 16th-century Castello Ruspoli. The coastal area of Campo di Mare offers a black sand beach and water sports.
